April Showers Bring May Region Meetings!

April showers usually bring May flowers, but with ANCW it’s bringing more Region meetings! The month of May will host meetings for Region V, and combine Region III and VII. Read on for more details…

Region V (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado) | May 4-6 | Gillette, WY

Wyoming CattleWomen have a great region meeting planned for Region V! The meeting kicks off with a reception for  attendees on Thursday evening. Bright and early Friday morning, attendees will take care of ANCW business with Region Director Jeannie Kiehn (WA) and ANCW leadership before diving in to a panel discussion on animal health. Friday’s other activities include a tour of the Dry Fork Power Plant and a coal mine, followed by a painting activity and milk can supper at a local ranch. Saturday’s events include finishing up any business, a presentation on Wyoming Ag in the Classroom, and another panel discussion on generational interactions. Region III (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois)
Region VII (North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas)

May 18-20 | Omaha, NE

Region III and Region VII will combine for their meeting, hosted by the Nebraska CattleWomen, in historic downtown Omaha at the Magnolia Hotel. Region III Director Kasey Wallace (IA) and Region VII Director Sharon Kickertz-Gerbig will emcee the conference. Planned events include “beefy” icebreakers, an ANCW update, “Ag in the Classroom” educational sessions, informational sharing sessions about the Beef Check-off from the Nebraska Beef Council, a presentation from Zoetis on new technology in the industry, and a breakout session for each region, just to name a few! Attendees will also have time to enjoy shopping and sight-seeing in Omaha!
