General Job Description
The American National CattleWomen Association (ANCW) is a membership organization of women who support the beef community. The Business Manager is responsible for managing financial reports and membership databases. Helping to promote strategies to increase and retain ANCW members. ANCW membership includes basic, sustaining, lifetime, collegiate, junior, state affiliate and associate members.
Manage financial records
Manage Accounts Receivables and Payables
Oversee and coordinate all membership payments
Work closely with the ANCW volunteer leadership
- Prepare financials for monthly Executive Committee Calls
- Coordinate quarterly Membership Committee reports
- Work with state cattlewomen’s groups to promote membership payments
Oversee all banking records and make sure these are reconciled monthly
Maintain a working knowledge of all ANCW programs and strategies in order to communicate with membership and potential members
Assist with all ANCW programs and events
Other projects and tasks as assigned by the ANCW Executive Committee
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with preference given to a degree in accounting. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of the beef cattle industry and must be an energetic, self-starting, excellent team player with an optimistic attitude.
The successful candidate must be proficient in working with QuickBooks Accounting Software.
The successful candidate must be able to multitask projects and positively manage challenges into opportunities.
Computer skills needed include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Database software.
The position is home based but will require some travel including evenings and overnight a couple times a year. Number of hours will vary per week, but the time of day you choose to work is very flexible.
Salary commensurate to experience and qualifications
